It's been a great weekend! Kera has done amazingly well so far, and is proving to be quite the little traveler! Thats encouraging for us, as we like to travel and we weren't sure how much we would be able to continue now that our family is growing.
The drive out went pretty well. We stopped twice, however the first was for troy. He tried to blame it on her, but she was fine. :) However, we paid for her sleeping so well during the trip by being up most of the night. After that first night, though, she got right back on schedule and has done great! Unfortunately I got food poisoning the second evening, which led to about 18 hours of being out of commission. Glad that's over.
Yesterday was a busy day, despite my overall yuckiness. Mom had an open house for friends and family who wanted to come meet Keragan, complete with a watermelon baby carriage. It was great to see everyone and for everyone to see how adorable she really is!! The number one comment I hear is how small she is. I can't quite comprehend it, because she feels so huge to me! But I guess she looks a lot bigger in pictures than she really is.
Afterwards, we had a birthday party for my mom who turned 50. So little Keragan was passed around all day! But she was a champ and barely cried and only spit up on one person! I'd call that a success. She was also so worn out that she slept about 10 hours, waking up only once for half an hour to eat. She's been pretty much on schedule today as well... Hopefully going home tomorrow wont change that again.
I love the picture of great-grandma Ruth and Keragan.
ReplyDeleteThe watermelon carriage is darling. I wish I was that creative...or maybe it's skill I need. :P
