Time is flying by, and Kera is changing so much every day! It's exciting, seeing how far she's come from those first days in the hospital, but at the same time I don't want her to grow up so quickly! Troy weighed her today (using the wii), and she's about 11 lbs 10 oz. What!?!? We've been in size 1 diapers for 2 weeks, and now it's looking like we may be moving to size 2 soon?! She's growing too fast! Even some of her 3 month outfits are starting to get tight, and she's only 3 months old! I know it's not going to slow down, so I need to cuddle with her as much as I can for as long as it lasts...
Her little personality is coming out so much more now, as well. This weekend we took a trip for a family reunion and a wedding of a childhood friend. Based on our last two weekend trips, I wasn't worried at all because Kera had traveled so well. Unfortunately, somewhere between the last trip and this one, she decided that she does not like traveling. She did okay for the first three hours, but then she screamed the ENTIRE last hour. And every single time we put her in the car seat for the whole weekend, including the ride home. We tried everything: the pacifier, singing to her, talking to her, ignoring her, turning up the music, dangling toys in front of her face, making faces at her. She is definitely one strong willed little girl.
On top of that, she's turning into quite the little social butterfly. Before, she would tend to fall asleep when she was around a lot of people, almost like a defense mechanism. But this trip was different. She was fighting sleep most of the time, and smiling at everyone who gave her attention. She couldn't stop looking around at everything, trying to soak it all in.
I find myself wondering what she'll be like when she's older, but then I have to remind myself to stop and enjoy every stage she is in, because it'll be gone before we know it!
