Sick of being sick

I guess when it rains it pours, right? In the past two weeks Kera had the stomach flu, Troy had the stomach flu, Kera discovered a food allergy which led to a blistering diaper rash, and now Kera has bronchiolitis, which can lead to RSV. Since the hospital, I've been hearing about how we have to be so careful about RSV because of her prematurity. So we didn't put her in daycare, and hardly take her anywhere, and she still manages to get it. Luckily we caught it early and so we're giving her breathing treatments. But she can barely breathe, screams hysterically if you try to wipe her nose or use the snot sucker and refuses to sleep. Despite the lack of sleep, she has a ton more energy than usual. Troy and I on the other hand can hardly keep up with her!
Last week she discovered that she can climb the steps. She had tried before, but was unsuccessful. However last week she was able to do it, and since then I think there's a new competition in her mind to beat her last time making it up. She FLIES up the stairs, and keeps getting faster. Especially now with her labored breathing, I keep expecting her to stop and rest or at least slow down, but no way.
She has also discovered the toilet. Even with the lid closed, she thinks its the greatest thing to pull herself up using the sides and stand next to it. It grosses me out every time, but I guess its more incentive to keep it clean! I'm tempted to get a training potty just to see if she'll get excited about that one too...
In the midst of everything else, she cut her third tooth (top this time) this weekend and it looks like another one is coming.
It's hard to believe that in less than three weeks she'll be a year old! Time has really flown, but at the same time it's hard to look at her and remember the 3 lb baby with tubes everywhere. I really need to get on planning her party! Hopefully by then we'll be past all of the sickness...
