Home

I love traveling, and especially spending time with friends and family, however it's good to be home. It's crazy how much different it is to travel now that we have Kera. Everything from packing, to driving, to going out to eat, and most importantly sleeping. Traveling can be exhausting even if you get a full night sleep, but when you spend half the night trying to keep the baby quiet, it really carries over to the next day.
But it was a good weekend. Kera was officially three months old on Saturday, which is hard to believe. Two months since we met her and one month since we brought her home. She's over 10 lbs now, and is definitely the center of our lives. I can't imagine life without her!
On Sunday we had a shower/open house for Kera thrown by Troy's family. He has a big family, but I didn't expect so many people to come! It's awesome, and even a bit overwhelming, how many people have talked about following this blog and keeping up with Keragan's progress. We are truly blessed to be surrounded by so many people who are invested in little Keragan's life.
My in-laws went all out, with an awesome cake with a beautiful owl in a carriage and little owl party favors! My sister-in-law made the cutest little woodland animals for Kera, and she got tons of adorable clothes and other fun things... Thanks to all who came out to meet Keragan!
This is my last week at home with Kera before heading back to work. I've loved every minute of being a stay at home mom, and I wish it could continue, but life must go on. Since Troy's off for the summer, he'll stay home with her for the next two months. We still have to figure out what happens after that. I guess for now I'll try to soak up every minute this week and hope that the transition to being a working mom will be smooth.
