The nighttime sleeping issues are still plaguing us, but it's getting better. So far this week we've had two nights of not having to rock her back to sleep (she cried for less than 10 minutes a couple of times), and two nights of only having to rock her once per night. I still can't figure out what it is... she doesn't have a fever, so I don't think it's that she's sick. I'm really leaning toward night terrors, because she still occasionally screams out in her sleep but I don't know.
Other than that, she's been a much happier girl this week. She's gotten over the congestion and coughing for the most part, and I think she's just grateful that she can breathe. She hadn't been eating much due to not feeling well, but she's really making up for it now.
Because of our plans to travel over Christmas, we had our Christmas this past weekend. Troy and I were SO excited, and Keragan didn't have a clue what was going on. But I think that our excitement caught on, because she smiled at all of her gifts and played with them. She always enjoys tearing paper, so she somewhat caught on to opening the gifts. She especially liked the ribbon on the gifts. It was cute, and she's had fun playing with her gifts all week.
The topic of discussion in our house this week has been Santa. Neither Troy nor I grew up believing in Santa. I don't really have anything against it, but at the same time I don't really see the point in it. I've always been a realist, and so playing make believe isn't really something I wanted to do. I guess we have plenty of time to decide, at least until next year when she actually understands some of it.
I've been busy trying to get ready for traveling and the various Christmases that we'll be going to over the next week. Every year after Christmas I say that I'm going to be crafty and plan ahead... and it never happens. I'm determined to try a couple of the ideas that I had, though, so this week has been full of baking and trying new crafts. Some have worked, some not so much. I'm hoping to use some of them for gifts depending on how they turn out, so I can't post pictures yet. Next year I'm going to start much earlier...
