Summer Time!!!

It's here!  Troy had his last day of school today, and the weather is 100% summer weather.  We have grilled, planted our garden, taken walks to the park and around downtown, and everything else that comes along with summer.  And Keragan LOVES it!  She loves being outside, and takes every chance she can to scoot out the door while it's open.  She's not a big fan of the grass (or at least crawling in it), but she doesn't mind crawling on the patio or driveway or sidewalks.  She also has a little push car that she LOVES riding.  It's cute, but she hasn't mastered putting her feet up on the pedals yet, so we seem to run over a foot once or twice a day, but I guess it's worth it, because she always wants to get right back on and go!
We've also been taking advantage of garage sale season.  I've been amazed at the deals you can get on kids clothes and toys!  It's hard not to overdo it.  I have probably enough clothes for the next year (in the appropriate sizes) and I've found some really great deals on toys that she absolutely loves.  The best purchase was the Musical Princess Vanity.  It has a mirror, keyboard, and buttons that she can hit which play the princess songs... all of her favorite things!  Not to mention a tambourine, maraca, hair curler, straightener, brush, makeup, etc.  She sits at the keyboard every day and bangs away at it.  I keep trying to show her how to press the keys gently, and she's doing better with it, but she still gets excited and goes crazy with it.  I don't know if she'll be musically gifted, but she sure loves everything to do with music right now.
Kera is also really figuring things out right now.  It's exciting to see her understanding concepts and discovering new things, but at the same time it means she's getting into more things.  She's figured out how to turn the light on and off from her crib, how to lift the toilet lid and flush it, how to randomly hide things in drawers, and my favorite, how to press every button on every noise-making toy within 30 seconds so that everything is going off at the same time.  It also makes me want to go outside where we have no sound making toys.  :)
