Growing

It continues to be a bit crazy around here with the changes and adjustments!  Baby J is still here, but we haven't heard a word about the situation.  I have to keep reminding myself that my job isn't to know everything, but to take care of her, so that's what I need to focus on. She's been a sweetheart though!  We love having her.  She's been all over the place with her schedule, but we're starting to get her into some type of routine.  She doesn't like sleeping in her crib, so that's what we're trying to figure out right now.
This past weekend we did respite care again.  We were supposed to get an 8 month old and a 19 month old (I agreed before we had baby J placed), but the 8 month old got sick and didn't come.  I felt bad for the kid, but it was pretty crazy with 3 under 3, I couldn't imagine another one, especially if he wasn't feeling well.  But we did it and we're ready to figure things out on a more long term basis!  We were in the middle of getting new furniture and moving things around when all this craziness kicked in, so I'm ready to have things in their places and useful!
Keragan has been amazing through all of this craziness.  She's had her moments of jealousy, or not wanting to share, but overall she's been a great big sister and helper!  It's interesting seeing her personality come out more and more, as well!  She is such a caring little girl that it amazes me.  She's always the first one to the baby when she cries reassuring her and patting her leg.
This week was all about the transition from mother of one to mother of multiple kids.  Our first outing was to baby J's doctor appointment.  Keragan has gone to mine before, and she usually plays games on my phone and is fine, so i figured she would be good.  However the motion sensor sink next to her chair proved to be too much of a distraction, so I spent the majority of the time telling her to sit down and stop playing with the water.  On top of that, baby J peed all over the exam table, and then pooped... Twice.  As I was cleaning up the second one, Keragan (who is being potty trained) yelled "poop mommy, poop! I need to go potty!"  All of this in one 30 minute appointment!
On Thursday Keragan's school had a field trip to the zoo, and I had planned on taking her.  I went back and forth whether I should take them both, and decided that I needed to get used to it sooner or later!  Luckily it went well and baby J slept almost the whole time.  It gave me hope that I can do this!
