Saturday evening we got another call, for a potentially long term 2 month old little girl. We said yes, and I left Troy to get the 3 kids bathed and to bed while I picked up the baby!
Baby J is such a sweetheart. She loves to be held and and is a pretty good baby. We just need to get her days and nights straightened out! She's healthy and developing well. We're still waiting to find out more about the situation.
Keragan has been adjusting pretty well. She's excited about the baby, and very attentive, especially when the baby cries. She has been dragging her dolls around and poking their eyes, so I was a bit nervous, but she has been very gentle. Today she even picked up the pacifier and gently put it in the baby's mouth! Of course she has her jealous moments but they're a minimum so I can't complain!
Last week I met with Keragan's teacher to talk about her progress in school. To my horror, she told me that Keragan has been trying to hold hands with one of the boys in her class, but he doesn't want to hold her hand! WHAT?!? At 2 years old!? I thought I had at least a few more years before we had to deal with this! So now each day as I wait for her after class I watch to see whose hand she's holding as they walk out, and think about how fast time is flying. She'll be a teenager before I know it!
